Eitas is seeking applicants for consideration to serve on the Board of Directors for Developmental Disability Services of Jackson County – EITAS
Eitas’ operations and services are overseen by a Board of nine Directors appointed by the Jackson County Executive. From time to time new Board members are needed as terms expire or people retire from their service on the Board. The Eitas Board administers funds generated through a Jackson County Tax Levy in accordance with Section 205.971 of the Missouri Revised Statutes.

The EITAS mission:
Developmental Disability Services of Jackson County’s (EITAS) mission is to support individuals with developmental disabilities and their families with services that respect their choices, increase their opportunities, encourage their independence and assist their inclusion in all aspects of the community.
The Nine-Member Board
The Jackson County Executive appoints all individuals who serve on the board, at least two of whom must be related — by blood or marriage within the third degree — to a person with developmental disabilities. Four members of the board must also be from the general public at-large, and ALL members must be residents of Jackson County.
